Lance Joseph Gutteridge, 51, went to be with the Lord on Nov. 23, 2017 in the city he loved best. He was born on Nov. 27, 1965, in Kansas City, MO to Donald J. Gutteridge and Sonja L. Gutteridge. He graduated from Western Heights High School in 1983. After spending time in Monterey, CA, he returned to Oklahoma City and entered the ministry at First Methodist where he created a thriving youth group. In 1993 he married Amy Carder and had three sons, Christian, Joseph and Carder. Lance was then called to start his own church, Grace Covenant Church, in 2001 and did exactly that. For 51 years he gave of himself with love and grace. He is survived by his parents, Don & Sonja Gutteridge; his two brothers and their families, Sean & Rene Gutteridge of Oklahoma City, OK and Josh & Cheri Gutteridge of Peoria, IL; and his three sons, Christian Gutteridge, Joseph Gutteridge, and Carder Gutteridge of Oklahoma City, OK. He leaves behind a much longer list of people whose lives he affected for good every chance he had. Lance loved his sons unconditionally and always gave God the glory. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 28, 2017, at Frontline Church Downtown. An interment will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park.
