Kay Huff (Moreland) died February 24, 2025, at the age of 72 years old after years of battling Parkinson disease with Lewy Body Dementia.
LaGail was born February 3, 1953, at St. Anthony Hospital in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to her parents Chester L. Moreland and LaNell Moreland (Smith). She graduated from Northwest Classen High School in 1971 then attended the Oklahoma City Vocational School of Practical Nursing graduating in August 1972. She worked at Baptist Hospital, Oklahoma Children's Neonatal Unit and several pediatric doctor's offices during her 30-year nursing career. LaGail had a special empathy for babies and children and loved caring for and helping them heal.
LaGail attended First Baptist Church of Bethany for many years. She helped start and establish a ministry to provide homeless individuals sack lunches with sandwiches, crackers and snacks one day each week. As the ministry grew, she began cooking large pots of soup for the church group to serve to the homeless in the downtown OKC area.
She was preceded in death by her sister; Donna Jean Nance (Moreland) in February 2020.
She is survived by her husband, Dale Edward Huff; mother-in-law, Betty Huff; daughter, Jennifer Renee' Bellah and husband Greg; grandson, Kyle Bellah and wife Amber; great-granddaughter, Lettie Bellah; granddaughter, Allyson Renee' Radomski and husband Riley; great-grandson, Cooper James Radomski. Also survived by special niece Holly Freeland and husband Paul; brother-in-law, John Nance and nephew Mike Nance and wife Dee.
LaGail was a kind, empathetic, caring individual who was happy, upbeat, positive and willing to help people if she could. Her family will miss her very much.
We want to thank the nurses and aides from CURA-HPC. Debbie, Janice and Shelly provided excellent, compassionate care for LaGail. You are truly very special people.
