Kristapher "Kris" Kalee Kirkwood, 55, of Oklahoma City unexpectedly passed away at his home on November 18, 2023. He was born on July 3, 1968 to loving parents, Herman C. and Sharron R. Kirkwood. He grew up in Oklahoma City, OK and graduated from Northwest Classen High School.

Kris lived his life to help others, but his passion was his family. Kris had a gift - when it came to auto mechanics, he could fix anything. He worked for numerous dealerships over the years but finished his career working for Express Credit Auto.

He didn't take much time off work but when he did it was normally taking his family out on the boat and camping at one of the surrounding lakes, just as our parents did when we were kids. Kris leaves behind a legacy of love and generosity as he touched the lives of so many.

Kris was preceded in death by his father, Herman C. Kirkwood; his grandson, Kason Clark, and a few cousins, aunts, uncles, and grandparents. He is survived by his mother, Sharron Kirkwood; wife, Misty Kirkwood; sons, Brendan K. Kirkwood (Whitney), Kaleb K. Kirkwood, Keawone Clark (Iliana); daughter, Britani Clark; grandchildren, Braelynn Kirkwood-Berry, Tatum Clark, Kory Joe Kirkwood, and Nathaniel Clark; sister, Kellie Copeland (Phillip); brother, Kevin Kirkwood (Pam); nieces, Celia, Haylee, Kayla, Jacque, Georgia, Lacey, and Chassey; and nephews, Zack, Austin, and Ferris. His memory lives on through countless others across many families.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 25, 2023 at 10:00am (CST) at Mercer-Adams Funeral Service Chapel (3925 N Asbury Ave., Bethany, OK 73008). There will be a viewing on Friday, November 24, 2023 from 12:00pm – 8:00pm with family present from 5:00 – 8:00pm. Services will be livestreamed for those unable to attend.
