Obituary

Kimberly Ann Trent, 61, died October 28, 2021. She was born August 4, 1960 in Elk City, OK to Gale and Dolly Darlene (Hawkins) Trent. She received double master degrees from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Marriage and Family Counseling and Religious Education. Kimberly was a registered nurse and did case management at OU College of Nursing. An encourager and prayer warrior, she often wrote encouraging devotionals and shared with others in times of need. She was a caregiver for her mother, but really a caregiver to all in her circle. She enjoyed learning through bible studies and was a part of Bible Study Fellowship. She also liked traveling, and her love of travel and ministry took her to Italy, England, Scotland, and Austria to serve others. Some of her favorite pastimes was talking about politics and playing board and card games. She loved her family and enjoyed cooking dinners for them, especially holiday and theme dinners. A loyal fan, she loved OU football. Kim loved children and worked for many years in the intensive care unit of Oklahoma Childrens Hospital where she ministered to the family members of the young patients she cared for. Her greatest joy was spending time with her niece, Maddie and nephew, Preston and she loved them fiercely as she did all her family and cherished friends. Her greatest love was for her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and she lived her life to serve Him. Kimberly was preceded in death by her father, Gale. Survivors include her mom, Darlene; siblings, Michael Trent, Darla Trent Mancini, Stacey Risinger and husband Matt; niece and nephew, Preston and Madelynn Risinger; and aunts, Frances Malson, Imogene Creach, and Edith Ashley and numerous cousins.
