Kieth Ballard, 87, passed away peacefully in the presence of his family on October 14, 2023. Kieth was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and devoted friend. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

Kieth was born March 28, 1936, in Ninnekah, Oklahoma to Leslie V. Ballard and Reana Parrott Ballard. Kieth grew up in Stillwater and later the family moved to Oklahoma City, where he met his wife, Lois Tonini, at Classen High School. Kieth and Lois graduated in 1954 before attending Oklahoma State University together. Kieth excelled at track in High School and attended OSU on a track scholarship. Kieth went on to graduate from Oklahoma City University with multiple bachelor's degrees. The happy couple married on December 28, 1956, at Central Presbyterian Church in Oklahoma City. Kieth was an active member of St. Marks Bethany Global Methodist Church, Bethany, Oklahoma. Kieth and Lois enjoyed outdoor activities including waterskiing, snow skiing and RV camping all over the United States and Canada. They were passionate travelers and spent many years taking cruises and traveling abroad with their good friends, Sharon and Vic Gammill.

Kieth was an active member for over 50 years of many Masonic affiliated organizations.

Brother Kieth Ballard passed to the Celestial Lodge above on October 14, 2023, in Oklahoma City. He was initiated an Entered Apprentice Mason on June 13, 1967, passed to the Degree of Fellowcraft on July 11, 1967, and was Raised to the Sublime Degree of Master Mason on August 29, 1967, in Siloam Masonic Lodge No. 276 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. On August 12, 1974, he transferred his membership to Bethany Lodge No. 529 in Bethany, Oklahoma. On April 14, 1992, he transferred his membership to Amity Lodge No. 473. On September 11, 2002, he was Affiliated as a Plural Member of India Masonic Lodge No. 551 and on November 11, 2007, he Affiliated as a Plural Member of his mother lodge, Siloam No 276 in Oklahoma City. In 1993, he was appointed Tyler of Amity Lodge No. 473 and worked his way through the Officers Line to serve as Worshipful Master in 1996. In 2004, he served an additional term as Worshipful Master of Amity Lodge and served as Treasurer of Amity from 2006 thru 2017. He was a Perpetual member of all three lodges.

Brother Ballard joined the York Rite Bodies in 1967. He served as Commander of Bethlehem Commandry and was Commander of the State Drill Team in the early 1970's.

Brother Ballard sought further Masonic Light through the Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite in the Guthrie Consistory in 1968, where he was a Perpetual Member. He served on the 32nd Degree Team for many years.

Brother Ballard was created a Noble of the Mystic Shrine in India Shrine Temple on October 21, 1967. He was an active member of the Directors Staff, then the Nomads and belonged to numerous Shrine Clubs. He was appointed Hospital Transportation Chairman in 2003 and served through 2009. He came back for a second round as Hospital Transportation Chairman in 2012 and served through 2017.

Brother Ballard also served as Associate Bethel Guardian of Bethel No. 6 of the Order of Jobs Daughters for many years and served as Associate Grand Guardian of the Grand Guardian Council.

Brother Ballard was a long-time member of Fidelis Chapter No. 426, Order of the Eastern Star and served as Worthy Patron of that Body numerous times.

In addition, Brother Ballard was a member of Queen Christina Court, Order for the Amaranth, serving as Royal Patron several times and later serving as Grand Royal Patron for the Grand Court of Oklahoma.

Brother Ballard will be deeply missed by those of us who knew him, both as Friend and Brother.

And now that our Friend and Brother has passed through the change that men call death and has been called by the Kindly Master of all good workman from labor here on earth to rest and refreshment for a while, we know that he has met the Supreme Grand Master face to face and has heard those welcome words, "Well done thou good and faithful servant, enter now into the eternal Joy of thy Lord."

Kieth is survived by his two daughters, Leslie Eastland (Rex) and Suzanne Charbeneau (Michael); five grandchildren, Michael Rogers (Rachel), Bryan Rogers (Lindsay), Brandon Rogers, Michele Charbeneau, and Shea Charbeneau. Kieth was predeceased by his parents; brothers, Oscar and Eddie Oral Ballard; his wife, Lois Ballard; and their beloved son, Mike Ballard.
