Kevin Lee
Hanneld
Jun 23, 1961 — Dec 4, 2024
Kevin Lee Hanneld, age 63, peacefully stepped into eternity on December 4, 2024, surrounded by his family and friends. Born in Story City, IA on June 23, 1961, to Victor and Nancy Hanneld, Kevin was raised in Nebraska and graduated from Fremont High School in 1979. After graduation, Kevin relocated to Oklahoma with his family.
Kevin worked as a transmission mechanic at Boyd Chevrolet before beginning a successful 34-year career with Snap-On Tools. He enjoyed supplying his customers with the tools they needed and created life-long friendships along the way. He could fix anything and helped many people with his abilities. Kevin's legacy is his love for his family, children, animals, and his passion for adventure. He loved lake life, boating, traveling, scuba diving, cars, motorcycles, NASCAR races, and flying airplanes.
Kevin fiercely loved his family. He was married for 20 years to the love of his life, Sandy Hanneld. Kevin was a loving father with a huge heart who cherished his children, grandchildren, pets and grand-pets, siblings, nieces, and nephews. His grandchildren affectionately called him their "Grand-dude."
Kevin was preceded in death by his parents. He leaves behind loved ones who will deeply miss him and will lovingly honor and remember him by sharing memories and using all the life skills he shared. The family would like to thank everyone who visited him in the hospital and would also like to thank the ICU team at Baptist Hospital for exceptional care and compassion.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 pm on January 11, 2025, at Surrey Hills Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Cardiovascular Research Foundation at https://www.crf.org/crf/donate/memorial-donation.
