Kenny Lyle Poindexter, 64, died January 12, 2015 in Oklahoma City, OK. He was born April 20, 1950 in Lawton, OK to George Wesley Poindexter and Ruth Beaver Poindexter. He graduated from Southern Nazarene University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration (2007) and Masters of Business Administration (2009). On June 10, 1995, he married Rebekah Mae Calfy in Yukon, OK. He was the owner and operator of Poindexter Trucking Company and the Facility Manager of the Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma. He was a member of the Caddo Tribe and served on the Caddo Nation Council. Kenny recently completed writing a western novel and had begun work on the second in a planned novel series. Kenny took delight in being out in nature, cooking scrumptious meals, visiting with friends, reading the Bible, and drinking a good cup of coffee. Kenny enjoyed remodeling homes and rebuilding Harleys. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother, Marc Sipes. Survivors include his wife of 20 years Becky; two (2) brothers Tim McLendon of Yukon, OK and Eric Sipes of Oklahoma City; sister Patricia Gentry of Oklahoma City; several nieces and nephews. Viewing will be Wednesday, 9:00 AM-9:00 PM, with family present from 6:00-8:00 PM at Mercer-Adams. Services will be Thursday, January 15, 10:30 AM at Mercer-Adams Chapel with graveside services at 2:00 PM at the Walters Cemetery, Walters, OK.
