Kenneth Clarence Stewart (Ken) was born into his earthly family on April 13, 1928, in Florein, LA, and joined his heavenly family on March 12, 2010. After graduating from high school, he joined the USAF where he served for 20 years. Ken served in the Korean Conflict and the Vietnam War, later retiring with honors in 1968. He moved to Bethany, OK, where he attended Southern Nazarene University, graduating with both his Bachelors and Masters Degree in Education. He taught in Putnam City Schools for 13 years and spent the rest of his years volunteering in Community Service. He was a longtime member of Bethany 1st Church of the Nazarene where he sang in the Cathedral Choir and served on many work and witness trips. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Iva (Strickland) Stewart; 2 sons, Rodney and Mark (wife, Lori) all of OKC; 2 daughters, Marcia Mosshart (husband, Tim) of OKC, and Nancy Summers (husband, Todd) of Bethany; 4 grandchildren, Abby Brobston (husband, Michael), Kendi Proctor (husband, Austin), Micah Stewart, and Stewart Summers; and 1 great-grandson Rhett Michael Brobston. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Swaziland Partnership, Bethany Nazarene Church. Funeral Services will be held 2:00pm, Tuesday, March 16 at Bethany 1st Church of the Nazarene with interment following in Bethany Cemetery.
