Kenneth Gundersen, 71 went to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 5, 2011. He was preceded in death by his parents, Knut and Magnhild Gundersen, and a brother, Arthur. He worked many years for the Hertz Corporation, both in New York City and Oklahoma City. His joy in life was his family and Bible Study. He taught several Sunday School classes and also preached occasionally at a local nursing home. While attending Heritage Baptist Church, he was a coordinator in the Prison Ministry for many years. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Grace C. Gundersen; 1 daughter and 3 sons, Jonathan Gundersen and wife, Denise, of Brenham, TX, Ruth Jawabira and husband, Sabir, of Oklahoma City, Paul Gundersen and wife, Sheryl, of Phoenixville, PA, Matthew Gundersen and wife, Sarah, of Danville, CA; and 10 grandchildren, Aaron, Joshua, Jacob, Erika, Michelle, Tyler, Michael, Orsan, Sabrina and Steven. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent in his memory to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, Donor Services, P.O.Box 4072, Pittsfield, MA 01202. Memorial Services will be held at 1pm Tuesday, February 8, 2011, at Mercer-Adams Chapel.
