Kendell Cary Ayers, age 48, a resident of Yukon, passed away suddenly in Springfield, MO, on Wednesday, February 19, 2014. He was born on January 28, 1966 in Joplin, MO, son of Mae Frances "Mazie" Steincross Ayers and the late Kenneth Clark Ayers. He graduated from Owasso High School, Class of 1984, and from Oklahoma State University with a Bachelor's of Science in Business Administration Accounting in 1989. Kendell was a devoted employee of Dorman Products, Inc. where he was a National Account Manager and part of the "Dream Team" along with Cliff and Debby. He was a member of Metropolitan Baptist Church where he served as President of his Sunday School class. Kendell bled Orange (Go Pokes) and Thundered Up, a true sports fanatic. He loved golfing, biking, swimming - anything outdoors. He never met a sport he didn't like. He was also a member of Crossings men's softball team; however, his greatest love was his family. On September 19, 1992, Kendell married the love of his life, Michelle Merino Ayers. They were blessed with two amazing sons, Kendell Collin Ayers and Cameron Merino Ayers. His love and devotion to his family was obvious to all who met him. In May of 2006, they built their dream home on "Ayers' Acre", which became a haven to all their family, friends, and neighbors. In addition to his immediate family, Kendell is also survived by his mother, Mazie Ayers; his sisters, Gwen Walker and husband Mike, and Kari Levy and husband Scott; mother-in-law Pat Bagwell; and sisters-in-law Rita Merino and Patti Griffin. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his fathers-in-law Ralph "Smokey" Merino and Jim Bagwell and a brother-in-law, Butch Merino. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews, who adored their Uncle Kendell.
