Kay F. Mitchell passed away on April, 11, 2014. She was born September 26, 1932. Kay married Jim Millhorn and had three children in quick succession, Jimmy, Tommy and Susie. She was a classic 50's-60's housewife who devoted all her energies to her brood. She loved to putter in the garden, and if the chance arose she was a mean dancer. After the children matured, Kay made a point of becoming an accomplished bookkeeper. Building on her accounting skills, Kay relocated her business acumen to Oklahoma City in 1979. Kay and Carl Mitchell (the latter passed November 2012) created a beautiful home atmosphere. They will long be remembered for their generosity and good will. Kay was preceded in death by her sister Carolyn, but is survived by her elder sister, Patty. In addition, she has two sons, Jim Millhorn, DeKalb, IL, Thomas Millhorn and wife Betsy, Plano, TX; and daughter, Susan Murray. She is survived by by six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She was loving mother to them all. A celebration of her life will be held at 1pm, Monday, April 14th at the Clubhouse at Copper Chase Condos.
