Kathy Nance, 59, was born August 9, 1960 to Joe and Reba Nance. She passed away Sunday, October 6, 2019 surrounded by her sister and 2 oldest children. Kathy grew up in Bethany, OK where she was active in 4H, various Round Up Clubs, league softball, and church events at Tulakes Baptist Church. She had a love and passion for animals, especially horses. She was the Yukon Round Up Club Queen in 1977 and could be found running barrels and showing off her horse training skills. Kathy is survived by her 4 children, Summer Dahne Eckert and her husband Clayton, Matt Lesney and his wife Jess, Skyler Lesney and Dustin Gates; and 4 grandchildren, Taylaer, Jackson, and Mason Lesney, and Destiny Christie. She also leaves behind sister, Reba Kroeker and husband Roy, and one nephew, Travis Little and wife Kasey and their children, Easton and Wyatt. She was reunited with her parents, Joe and Reba Nance, many uncles, aunts, and friends. Kathy was someone who offered love, friendship and a safe place to anyone who was in need. She opened her home and heart to many over the years, and as a result she was Mom to a large community of kids. You could always count on her to be a source of comfort and support when you needed it. Kathy was an amazing person who lived life unapologetically her way. A fun loving free spirit who has finally been set free. Viewing will be Thursday, 9am-9pm with family present from 6-8pm at Mercer-Adams Funeral Service. Services will be Friday, October 11, 10:00am at Mercer-Adams Chapel with interment in Bethany Cemetery.
