Kathy (Doedi) J. Luecke, a long-time Bethany resident, departed this life to meet her Savior on July 16, 2016. She was born in Pharr, Texas, September 23, 1944 to Neal and Odette Martin. Best known for her barbering skills, she was proficient at a variety of activities. Primary interests included family, cooking, gardening, jewelry-making, painting, sewing, decorating, and most any other craft she put her mind to do. Kathy was full of life and a proud cancer survivor. Her courage, fight, and positive spirit reminded us all of the preciousness of life. She is survived by special friend/companion, Geoff Welch; daughter, Lezlie Holliday and husband Brent; son, Jon Luecke and wife Elizabeth; brother, Rick Martin; eight granddaughters; five great-grandchildren; two Schnauzers; a rescued cat; and a myriad of cousins, nieces, and nephews, along with numerous friends, all of whom brought great joy to her.
