Kathryn Ione Walraven Kathryn, 93, died on May 19, 2018 in Oklahoma City, OK. She was born July 13,1924 in Moorhead, MS to Joe Bob and Lydia (Eiland) Jones. Kathryn worked in the food service dept. at SNU for over 40 years and often had college students in her home on Sundays for a home cooked meal. She was a longtime member of Bethany First Church of the Nazarene and the Fellowship Sunday School class. She enjoyed working in the church nursery, sewing and crocheting. She was preceded in death by her parents, beloved spouse, Maurice, brothers Joe Jones and Orville Jones. Survivors include her son Orville Walraven and wife Lynne; 2 grandchildren Jeff Walraven and Marianne Dunn; 6 great grandchildren, Jeffery and Justin Walraven, Bryton and Brixton Schmitt, Brittany and Mitchell McGinnis. Viewing will be Monday May 21, 2018 from 12:00 to 9:00pm with family present from 6-8pm at Mercer-Adams Funeral Home. Graveside Services will be held Tuesday May 22, 2018, 11:00 am at Bethany Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to SNU -Maurice Walraven Educational Scholarship. The family would like to thank the wonderful staff of St. Anns Nursing Home for taking such good care of Kathryn.
