Obituary

Kathryn Roxane Roberts, 66, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, passed away on Monday, July 13, 2026.

Roxane was born on July 22, 1959, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, to Truman and Marjorie Slohn. She grew up in Oklahoma City and was a graduate of NW Classen High School.

On June 20, 1994, Roxane married Tom Roberts. Together they made their home in Chandler, Oklahoma, for several years before eventually moving back to Oklahoma City. Though they later divorced in 2011, Roxane kept a relationship with her stepson, Kaleb, staying close with him throughout the years even after Tom's passing.

Roxane started work for Quad Graphics where she worked in pamphlet and magazine printing for 5 years. She later found her long-term career at Hobby Lobby where she spent 19 years working in the warehouse division counting inventory, before retiring in 2025. One of her favorite things about working at Hobby Lobby was being the person at the door and greeting all her co-workers as they badged in for the shift.

Roxane had a curious and generous spirit. She loved decorating her home in cheerful hues; especially yellow, her favorite! She also loved owls and those who knew her well often brought her owl trinkets from near and far, which she treasured. She enjoyed her television with humor and drama – from watching Charmed with her nieces to keeping up with Wrestling. She could always be counted on for a good conversation about the weather and wanted to know how the weather was doing for everyone else. She took great pride in keeping a well-tended yard, filling the pots around her home with pretty flowers during warm weather and putting up her Christmas light display in the winter. For many years, Roxane lived next door to her father, Truman, and would check in on him daily. The two shared a special tradition of browsing deals at the grocery store together every other day, a simple pleasure that reflected the closeness of their bond. She loved picking up gifts or snacks for the people in her life for no reason other than to say "I was thinking about you."

Roxane is survived by her sisters, Sheri Slohn and Linda Thompson (spouse James); her brother, Neal Slohn (spouse Donna); her stepson, Kaleb Roberts (spouse Tylie); her granddaughter, Saylor; her nieces and nephews, Brandi Thompson, Jamie Young, Christy Tapp, Kim Lee, and Johnny Slohn; and her grand-nieces and grand-nephews, Alyssa, Madeline, Rachel, and Lauren Tapp, Noah and Emma Lee, Dakota and Dallas Slohn, and Kolsyn and Jayda Young.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Truman and Marjorie Slohn; her grandparents, Arthur and Emma Slohn and Dr. E. R. Dunn and Ora Dunn; and Tom Roberts.

A visitation will be held Sunday, July 19, 2026, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. A memorial service will follow on Monday, July 20, 2026, at 10:00 a.m., with a short graveside service to follow.

Flowers may be sent to Mercer-Adams Funeral Home in Bethany, OK.

Roxane now rests in the arms of her Lord and Savior, reunited with her parents. The family wishes to extend their heartfelt thanks to all who supported Roxane and her loved ones during this time.
