Kari Jo Gibbons, born on February 9, 1965, was blessed with the best smile God has ever designed! She passed away on June 8, 2012 at Integris Baptist Medical Center in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Kari was the daughter of Gary Gibbons and Lana Allen. She was the sister of Kimberly Ann Gibbons (deceased) and Kevin Gibbons. She loved her sister and brother and was Kim's best friend and Kevin's keeper. Kari grew up in the Yukon area and went to Yukon Public Schools. She was a proud member of the Yukon High School class of 1983. Softball and basketball were the highlights of her life and she was an amazing athlete! Kari attended Oklahoma State University. She loved to be outdoors and had an exceptional ability to landscape a lawn! Going to the lake on the weekends or to the beach or the mountains for vacation were the things she looked forward to the most. Kari worked in the workers compensation industry for most of her adult life and was respected and adored by all who knew her. She was devoted to life and helping others in need. Kari is survived by her mother Lana, her father Gary and wife Debra, grandmother Melba Gibbons, brother Kevin Gibbons and his daughters Kara and Anslee. She is also survived by her aunts, Carla Evans and Joe, Miriam Ward, and uncle Gene Gibbons and his wife Virginia. She was preceded in death by her grandfathers' Omi Ward and Joe Gibbons, grandmother Ann Ward, aunt Linda Jo Burch, sister Kimberly Ann Gibbons and her stepfather Johnny Allen. Memorial services will be held Friday, June 15, 2012 at 10:00am in Mercer-Adams Chapel, Bethany, OK with interment in Pauls Valley, OK.
