Karen Ruth Sutterfield, 64, a resident of Bethany, Oklahoma, died May 15, 2021 in Oklahoma City, OK. She was born August 7, 1956 in Oklahoma City, OK to Calvin and Charline (Randel) Sutterfield. A graduate of Western Heights High School, she held a variety of jobs throughout her career, finishing at Southern Plaza where she is still dearly missed and loved by staff and residents. Karen attended Calvary Church of the Nazarene for over 60 years. Karen was an encourager. She was a caring individual who made everyone laugh. She loved spending time with family, especially her nieces and nephews. She enjoyed traveling and never met a stranger. She was a great friend to many and was always the first to wish someone a "Happy Birthday." Karen was preceded in death by her parents, and brother, Kenneth R. Sutterfield. Survivors include her siblings, Kim E. Sutterfield and wife Brenda of Bethany, OK, Kartha Hughen of Yukon, OK, and Kirk C. Sutterfield and wife Christine of Marietta, GA; nieces and nephews, Kim E. Sutterfield, Jr., of Oklahoma City, Aaron D. Lynn of Naples, FL, Dustin R. Lynn of Yukon, OK, Taylor R. Sutterfield, Cooper A. Sutterfield, and Parker K. Sutterfield, all of Marietta, GA; and host of friends who will miss her dearly. Viewing will be Tuesday, 9am-5pm, with family present from 6-8pm to greet visitors. Services will be Wednesday, May 19, 2:00pm at Mercer-Adams Chapel with interment in Resurrection Memorial Cemetery. .
