Obituary

Kaden Lee Bollenbach gained his angel wings on February 21st following a lifelong illness. His final days were spent in his home surrounded by family and friends that loved him dearly. Kadens life was too short, but the lives he impacted in such a short time will never be forgotten. His gentle touch and loving smile melted the hearts of those around. Even though he never spoke a word his love was always heard. Although Kadens illness caused him to seem frail, he was the bravest, strongest, most resilient little boy. He came into his world having to fight for his life and continued to do so up until the very end. His ability to keep a smile through all his trials and tribulations really helped many others own perspective on things. At only 6 years old, he left a lifetime impact on so many people. He has changed lives, and saved lives. He has taught us more about loving unconditionally than could ever be expected. Kaden was a loving, kind and affectionate boy. He loved snuggles and holding your hand. Kaden was the true definition of loving unconditionally and whole-heartedly. With Kadens passing we remind others that his life is to be celebrated. We were given much longer than we had anticipated. Although we will miss him daily, especially those perfect hugs and wet kisses, he will forever be a huge part of our hearts. It took an army of doctors, nurses, caregivers and family to provide Kaden with the best possible life for him. His care team became our extended family. Without them we would have never gotten the 6 wonderful years we had. They laughed with us, they watched him grow, they cried with us and, most importantly, they loved him with us. Kaden loved all he met ~ nobody was a stranger, but he had a very special place in his heart just for his Nana and Poppa. The bond between these three can never be broken. No one understood Kaden quite like they did. Services will be Friday, February 26, 2:00pm at Mercer-Adams Chapel with interment in Bethany Cemetery.
