June A. Hale, 89 years old, joined his loving wife, Wanda L. Hale at the feet of Jesus on 7/14/16, their anniversary. June was a passionate, compassionate, serving, friend-to-all man. He always had a kind word to anyone he met. This served him well in his career as he worked with Services for the Blind with the State of Oklahoma. He had a passion for helping people. Through the years he also had many hobbies which he pursued with a vigor. Bicycling was one that took him on many long adventures across the state, one time with his grandson Justin riding beside him. He also spent many hours working in his yard which always shone with beauty. He loved his family to no end, doted on the grandchildren. He loved his Lord and loved to study the Word. He had a shelf of Bibles and commentaries sitting next to his chair and he read them all. Papa, we miss you dearly but rejoice that you and Meme are together again. We know that we will see you again one glorious day!
June is survived by 3 daughters, Jeanne Lehman, Claudia (Dwayne) Brinkley and Carol (Stephen) Campbell; 3 grandchildren, Alana Campbell, Kyle (Ashley) Brinkley and Kevin (Rebecca) Lehman; 5 great-grandchildren, Dominic & Braden Campbell, Logan & Cora Brinkley, and Stevie Lehman. He is preceded in death by his wife, Wanda Hale, son-in-law, Steve Lehman and grandson, Justin Brinkley.
Services will be held at Mercer Adams Chapel on Monday, July 18 at 2:00 pm. Viewing will be available prior to the service. The family suggests memorials be made to: The Justin Brinkley Scholarship/PSHS, c/o Cindy Klapper, Plano Senior High School, 2200 Independence Pkwy, Plano, TX 75075.
