June Ann Green, 79, passed away on February 4th, 2016. She was born on June 13th, 1937 to Albert and Effie Thompson in Wellington, Texas. She was married to James Green also known as "Papa" for 38 years before he died in 1994. Her greatest loves were her children and grandchildren. She was a strong woman who taught us that a smile is the best accessory, to always expect that everyone had good intentions until proven otherwise, that you can be strong in any situation, and that giving up is never an option. She was always a very kind and fun loving person with a positive attitude, even though she had to deal with a lot of personal adversity. She was a very spiritual person who knew that she would be celebrating in heaven after her time here on earth. Although her health was poor for the past few years, her positive attitude made a difference in those who cared for her. She made sure that everyone knew who her family was and was most proud talking about her children, grandchildren and her great granddaughter. June was preceded in death by husband James Green, and daughter, Vicki Jones. June is survived by her brother, Joe Thompson of Pampa, TX, daughters and their spouses, Debbie and Larry McVay of Blanchard, OK, Jamie and Rick Chasteen of Oklahoma City, OK, grandchildren Kelley and Dustin Burton of Mustang, OK, Chris Stolte of Los Angeles, CA, Ashley Stolte of Oklahoma City, OK and great granddaughter, Evelyn June Burton of Mustang, OK.
