Junavon "June" Kinzy was born December 1, 1927 and died October 14, 2022. She was retired from Wilson Foods and Mercer-Adams Funeral Service. June was a member of the First Christian Church where she served as a Deacon and attended the Loyal Partners Sunday School Class. She had been a volunteer for the Baptist Medical Center. June graduated from Cowden High School and attended business school before joining Wilson Foods. She loved her family and helping with her grandchildren and especially the great grandkids.
June started as a simple farm girl who pulled cotton and became an eloquent lady who loved fiercely. She was stubborn and you will never meet another woman as impatient! She loved playing basketball and being a drum major at Cowden High School. She often said that if there was womens college basketball back in the 1940s she would have played!
It was not wise to interrupt her when she was watching OU play football! She also loved watching OSU, Thunder, and the Dallas Cowboys!
She loved to spoil her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She also loved to be spoiled too!
June was preceded in death by her husband, Cleveland "Cleve"; infant son, Kirkland; infant daughter, Kara Kim; and grandson, Sawyer Reed. She is survived by 3 daughters, Kyla Mach and husband David, Karen Palumbo and husband Nick, Kristin Reed and husband Dr. Michael; six grandchildren, Kinzy Joe Palumbo and wife Kinsey, Ryan Palumbo and wife April, Nathan Palumbo and wife Darcy, Christopher Mach and wife Liz, Tucker Leo Reed, and Harper Leigh Reed; 3 step-grandsons, David, Shaun and Dustin Mach; great-grandchildren, Cody Palumbo, Gianna Palumbo, Ivy Mach, Ava June Mach, Bella Poole, Hayden Poole, Kennedy Mach, and Kaylee Mach; and special lifelong friend, Celeste Nelson.
Special thanks to Ramiah Israel, Lee Davy Mandel, and Bob Ritchie. Also, Humanity Hospice and especially Rhonda Barrett.
