Judy passed from the loving arms of her husband, Jerry, into the waiting arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on September 8th, 2019. Judy was born in Tulsa, OK on April 5th, 1943 to David and Ruth Snider. Her family then moved to OKC where she attended Gatewood grade school and graduated Classen H.S. in 1961. Judy was a proud Classen Comet where she was a cheerleader, lettered in Table Tennis, Basketball Queen and was voted the Princess of Friendship during her senior year. She attended OU where she graduated in 1963 with an Associates of Business and had pledged Alpha Chi Omega. She then became a land secretary for the oil and gas industry.
On August 31, 1963 she married the love of her life, Jerry Webb. They were married in the church where Judy first accepted Jesus as her Lord and where she was baptized. Judy worked for several years until her children, Kevin and Kristi, were born, then she decided to stay at home to spend quality time raising them. When the kids started school, she then became a school bus driver for Putnam City as well as a part-time church secretary.
Judy loved to stay busy spending time with Jerry and her children as well as the kids school activities, her dinner bridge club, Beta Sigma Phi womens sorority, and summers at the lake. She also had a green thumb and loved her flower garden. She learned how to garden from her Grandma Snider and went on to obtain a Master Gardener certificate from OSU tech. She earned a Bible studies and teaching certificate from OBU. She taught a ladies Sunday school class called "Focus" for several years at Council Road Baptist Church, where she had a wonderful time sharing the Word of God and to fellowship with her class.
One of her favorite places to be on Sunday morning was in the choir singing the praises of God and on Wednesday night, choir practice, where she was amused by the humor and antics of her choir director, Norman. Judy loved her time spent helping plan the family vacations, mostly trips to Branson and Silver Dollar City where she had many famous stops to the Precious Moments in Carthage, MO. The family also had many fun trips to the Science Museum, Zoo, Lloyd Noble Science Museum, and Dallas Arboretum gardens, where it was clear this grandma had lots of energy. Later, Jerry and Judy had special trips for their anniversaries: on their 30th they spent time in Hawaii, their 40th in the Canadian Rockies, and their 50th on Dr. Charles Stanleys Alaskan cruise. Judy and Jerry were also members of the Late Great Chevy Club of OKC. Judy claimed the 58 Impala as her favorite cruiser and loved packing the grandkids in it for the Bethany downtown 4th of July parade where they threw candy and honked the horn (when it worked).
For the past several years, Judy developed a love for sewing and quilting. Jerry turned a spare room into a beautiful quilting studio for her. She had spent many hours making quilts and special items for each family member. Judy has been truly blessed throughout her life as a daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Now it is her turn to take time off and enjoy eternity with Jesus.
Judy is survived by her husband, Jerry, of the home; son, Kevin and daughter-in-law Samarea; daughter, Kristi Hollis, granddaughters, Brittany Hollis Moore and husband Nathan, Autumn Hollis, Cassidy Hollis, and April Webb; great-grandsons, Hudson and Levi Moore; and her little doggies, Charlie and Scruffy. Also survived by her brother-in-law, Dan Binkley; special nieces, Heather Iatomasi and Danielle Binkley; and nephew, Billy Schooley. She was preceded in death by her parents, David and Ruth Snider, and sister-in-law, Renee Binkley.
