Juanita Sue Smoot, 79, received her angel wings on Thursday, June 2, 2016, in OKC surrounded by her family. She was born March 3, 1937 in Lamar, OK, to Benny and Naomi Ruth (Wear) Blakley. She married Charles Smoot on June 6, 1955 in Sterling, CO. She graduated from Normas Beauty College in 1969 and opened Bethany Beauty College in 1976, from which she retired in 2004. She loved her family and doted on them. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Benny B. Blakley; and husband. She is survived by son, Eddie C. Smoot and wife Monica of Asher, OK; daughter, Debbie S. Stucker and husband Ernie of Luther, OK; 3 grandchildren, Eddie C. Smoot II, Jeffrey M. Smoot, and Casey J. Hoover; 8 great-grandchildren; sister, Jo Ann Troup of OKC; and nephew Doug Owen of OKC. Viewing will be held June 5, 2016 from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. with family present from 5 - 7 p.m. at Mercer-Adams Funeral Service.
