Juanita Muriel Longacre, 87, of Bethany, went to be with Jesus April 2, 2012. Juanita was born January 9, 1925 at Conroe, Texas. Her brother, Richard, brought home a friend from the service and this friend, Lester Longacre, became Juanita's husband in 1942. She and Lester moved to Oklahoma where she spent her days raising four children. When the kids were young, she was a volunteer coordinator for the March of Dimes. Her special gift was cooking. She loved to cook and was always fixing food for someone that had lost a loved one, for a sick family member, when someone was moving, or just because she wanted to. She also had a beauty shop in her home for many years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lester Longacre, daughter, Beverly Longacre, parents, Oscar and Goldie Hollis, and brother, Richard Hollis. She is survived by her son, Bobby Joe Longacre and his wife Violet Longacre; two daughters, Mary Jo Gresham and her husband John Gresham, Delores "Dee" Lott and her husband Carl Lott; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She dedicated her life to her family and a part of her will continue to be with each of them throughout their lives. Her "Life Celebration" Services will be held on Friday, April 6, 2012, at 10:00 a.m. at Mercer-Adams Chapel, 3925 N. Asbury, Bethany, OK. Interment will be in Resurrection Cemetery, Oklahoma City, OK.
