Nevin, Joseph Patrick, 69, passed away Saturday, June 21, 2014 in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. He was born September 26, 1944 in Yonkers, NY to Joseph Nevin, Sr. and Kathryn (Dempsey) Nevin. Joe served his country proudly in the United States Army during Vietnam. He was an electrician and a proud member of IBEW Local #1141. He was also a member of the Shamrock Club of Yonkers, NY, the Elk's Lodge BPOE #417 and the Crossfire International Car Club Inc. He was an avid fan of the Mets and the Jets. He enjoyed traveling and cooking. Joe is survived by his wife, Helena Nevin; daughter, Erika Lee and husband Matt; son, Lucas Nevin and wife Monica; sister, Rosemary Jansen and husband Charles; and two grandchildren, Hazel and Phineas. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Anne McCabe and nephew, James McCabe. The family will greet friends from 3:00-5:00 PM and from 7:00-9:00 PM, Monday, June 23, 2014 at Mercer-Adams Funeral Service. Services will be held 11:00 AM, Tuesday, June 24, 2014 in the Resurrection Chapel with interment following in Resurrection Cemetery.
