Joseph Howard Mercer, 94, died March 22, 2015 in OKC. He was born August 11, 1920 in Greenville, KY to Lum and Effie (Green) Mercer. He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Navy. He retired after 35 years as a Greyhound Bus Driver, driving over 4 million miles without an accident. Joseph was a charter member of Western Oaks Christian Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Lucy, and sons, Donald E. and William G. Mercer. Survivors include his sons, Tom and wife Susan of Bethany, OK and Robert and wife Carmen of Dallas, GA; 9 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Viewing will be Tuesday, noon-9pm with family present from 6-8pm at Mercer-Adams. Services will be Wednesday, March 25, 2:00pm at Mercer-Adams Chapel with interment in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
