Joseph Allen Manley, Sr. was a man who lived for those around him and expected nothing in return. He was strength for those when they were weak and had a heart that you would never guess was diseased. The word unconditional does not begin to explain the man that was a best friend and father to all around him. He was a man who firmly believed in giving all and keeping nothing even when it came to his health. At Christmas, when asked what he wanted, he would always say, "I want you to give to someone who needs." We have all heard the adage, "when life gives you lemons"... well, I never saw my father with lemons but he always offered a cold glass of lemonade. Survivors include his daughter, Jennifer Chowning; sons, Jason and wife Amber, Joey, Jr. and partner Michael; the mother of his children, Nancy Manley; 3 brothers, Mike, Bill and Ed Manley and their families; 1 grandchild, Damyn Chowning; and a multitude of other family members. Joseph was preceded in death by his parents, Lester and LaFonda Manley, and grandma Kiefer.
