Joseph Robert Cohill
Hinson
Oct 9, 1983 — Aug 22, 2026
Joseph Robert Cohill Hinson, beloved son, brother, uncle, friend, and servant of the Lord, passed away peacefully on August 22, 2026, at the age of 42.
Joseph was born in Oklahoma City to Vickie and Johnny Hinson. From an early age, Joseph had a deep love for music, especially playing the guitar. Music was one of the ways he expressed his heart, and he found great joy in worshipping the Lord through song. His faith was an important part of his life, and he cherished the time he spent worshipping and fellowshipping with his church family.
Joseph had a heart for people and a genuine desire to help others. He was a beloved mental health worker who made a lasting impact on the lives of the people he served. Although his time in this role was far too short, the compassion, kindness, and encouragement he shared with others left a meaningful impression that will not soon be forgotten.
At home, Joseph's two beloved cats, Shekinah and Shadow, brought him great joy and companionship. He loved them dearly and treasured the time he spent with them.
Joseph was preceded in death by his father, Johnny Hinson and his grandparents, Joan and Ronnie Weaver, Doris Loveland and J.C. Hinson.
He leaves behind his loving mother, Vickie and her husband, Steven; his brothers, Christopher and Timothy; Timothy's wife, Ashley and their daughters, Jessica and Aubrey; many aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, coworkers, church family, and all those whose lives he touched.
Joseph's life may have been shorter than anyone wished, but the love he gave, the people he helped, the music he shared, and the faith he carried will continue to live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
His family takes comfort in knowing that he is now resting in the presence of the Lord he loved so dearly. He will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
We love you always and forever!
