Joseph W. Buschman, 91, passed away on September 13, 2026, in Norman, Oklahoma, surrounded by his daughters. Joe was born to Sarah Buschman on October 20, 1934, in Weatherford, Oklahoma.

After being honorably discharged from the United States Army, Joe returned to the family farm, where he met the love of his life, Geraldine "Geri" Hamburger. They were married on June 5, 1958, in Elk City, Oklahoma. Together, they built a beautiful family and eventually established their business, Radiographic Equipment Service, where Joe served as president.

Joe was a hardworking man who enjoyed spending his free time outdoors. Camping, skiing, and fishing were among his favorite activities. He and Geri were also longtime, active members of Putnam City United Methodist Church.

The family wishes to extend their heartfelt appreciation to the VA for the many years of care and assistance they provided Joe. They are especially grateful for the love and compassion shown to him during his final year at the Norman VA Center. Their care made his last year a happy one, and Joe came to think of the center as home.

Joe was preceded in death by his wife, Geri; his mother, Sarah Buschman; and his sisters, Anne and Freda. He is survived by his daughters, Jan Haddad and Denise Youngkin; his son, Doyle Buschman; and his five grandchildren, Katie, Ashley, Tyler, Kailey, and Savannah.

Viewing at Mercer-Adams will be Wednesday, 12-8pm. Funeral services will be held at 10:00am on Thursday, September 17 at Putnam City United Methodist Church. Interment will follow at 2:00pm in Greenwood Cemetery, Weatherford, OK.
