Jonathan "Jon" McGhee was born November 26, 1953, to Ira ODell and Sylvia June McCall (Finch) McGhee in Little Rock, AR. He passed peacefully into the arms of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on September 27, 2023 with his wife and daughter by his side. Jon graduated from Star Spencer High School in 1971, then attended Southwestern Oklahoma State University. His favorite pastimes were quail hunting with his two favorite birddogs, Sammy and Abby, fishing at Lake Eufala, playing golf and telling jokes with his friends and family. Jon was predeceased by his parents; brothers, Ira ODell McGhee, Jr., and Timothy McGhee; and sister, Dianne Burgess. Surviving him are his wife, Stacey; daughter, Lindey McGhee Lacy and husband, Thomas; stepson, Brian Cole and wife, Heather; sister, Millie Craddick; nephew, Scott Craddick and wife Marsha; cousin, Daryl McCall and wife Lisa; and five grandchildren, Ryder, Angelina, Catherine, Sloane, and Crew, along with numerous nieces and nephews. Jon was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather and friend who will be greatly missed. Family will greet friends at Mercer-Adams Funeral Service, Bethany, OK on Sunday, October 1 from 4-6pm. Services to celebrate Jons life will be held at 11:00am, Monday, October 2 at Mercer-Adams Chapel with interment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.
