Jolene "Edwards" Murphy, 71, went to be with her Heavenly Father on March 9, 2018 in OKC. She was born Dec. 4, 1946 in Griffin, GA to Earl and Josephine Edwards. She was a loving mother of three girls and grandmother and great-grandmother of nine. She enjoyed gospel music and spending time with her grandchildren who also knew her as "Nanny." For years she cared for kids at both her home and church. Jolene married Albert Thomas "Tom" Murphy on January 11, 1969 in OKC. She was a member of the Church of the Nazarene for 71 years. Jolene was preceded in death by her loving husband and her parents. She is survived by her 3 daughters, Brenda Speikers (Robert) of Perry, OK, Tammy Murphy of Yukon, OK, and Amanda Hornbeck (Donny) of Yukon, OK; 7 grandchildren, Robert and Brandon Speikers, Taylor, Haleigh and Hunter Hall, and Braydon and Caylee Hornbeck; 2 great-grandchildren, Mateo and Archer Schmid; one sister, Cecelia McWhorter; and family and friends. Viewing will be Thursday, March 15 with family present from 6-8pm at Mercer-Adams Funeral Service in Bethany. Services will be Friday, March 16, 10am in the Chapel of Bethany First Church of the Nazarene with interment following in Resurrection Memorial Cemetery.
