Johnny Dill Jr., born in Hope, OK on September 25th, 1927, went home to join the Lord and loved ones on Sunday, October 2, 2011. Johnny served in World War II in the Army Air Corp. He was a Mason and a member of the American Legion. He had a successful career as a truck driver with Unit Parts for over 40 years and earned several safety awards. In retirement, he enjoyed sharing stories of his adventures on the road. Johnny married Joyce Baxter in 1950. They were married for over 52 years until her death in 2002. He is survived by four daughters: Donna Chiswell and Barbara Brauer of Oklahoma City, and Diana Morton and Brenda James of Houston, Texas. We find peace in knowing that he is now rejoicing with our Heavenly Father and is reunited with his beloved wife, Joyce, his mother and father, Mary and John Dill, and his grandson, Christopher Brauer. The family extends our sincere thanks and gratitude to the staff at Bellevue Rehabilitation and Integris Baptist Hospital for their care and compassion during difficult times. Johnny will be missed by all of those who loved him and he will be remembered for his spirit, wit and sense of humor. He was a wonderful provider, husband and father. Memorial services will be Tuesday, October 11, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at Mercer-Adams Chapel, Bethany.
