Johnnie Carolyn was born April 4, 1928, one of 8 children born to John C Diffee and Lora Gray Diffee in Norwood, North Carolina and passed away March 17, 2024 in Oklahoma City, OK. Johnnie Carolyn married Shural George Knippers on August 1, 1946. Together they had 4 children. They lived in many places over the course of Shural's military career, both in the United States and overseas. They eventually settled in Oklahoma City after Shural retired from the Air Force.

Johnnie was preceded in death by her husband, Shural George Knippers; sons, Kenneth Wayne and Dr. John Caroll Knippers; sisters, Mary Jane Diffee, Sarah Parker, and Eloise Knippers; and brother, Victor Diffee.

She is survived by children, Shural George Knippers, Jr., and Lora Kathleen Knippers-Davis; grandchildren, John, Gene, Mark, Anthony, Kristin, Carolyn, Kimberly, and Kenny; along with a multiple of great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; and by 3 siblings, Joe Diffee, Bobbie Gunn, and Robbie Campbell.
