John Henry Linnell, Jr., 77, died November 14, 2009. He was born March 26, 1932 in Oakland, California to Beulah (Carlson) and John Henry Linnell, Sr. He was a proud US Air Force veteran who served as a tail gunner in a B-29 bomber. He worked in Aviation Management at Gulfstream Aerospace Corp. before retiring. He was a member of the Air Force Association, Bethany Kiwanis, and OKC Jr. Achievement. Preceded in death by his parents, and wife, Dolores, John is survived by his daughter, Tamlin Welch of Oklahoma City; son, Damon Linnell and wife Dawn of Kissee Mills, Missouri; brothers Gerald, Clinton and Byron Linnell; sisters Patsy Larson, Maxine Baker, and Loraine Burchard; 4 grandchildren, Damon Linnell, Jr., Andrea Kidney, Jessica McConnell, and Ronald Welch, Jr.; and 6 great-grandchildren. Viewing will be Wednesday and Thursday, 9am-9pm at Mercer-Adams. Funeral services will be Friday, November 20, 10:00 a.m. at Mercer-Adams Chapel with interment in Bethany Cemetery.
