John Patrick "J.P." Johnston, 90, died April 8, 2012 in Oklahoma City. He was born February 25, 1922 in Muskogee, Oklahoma to James and Lottie (Grinip) Johnston. He married Elsie Marie Reichl March 29, 1975 in Oklahoma City. He was a proud WWII veteran of the US Marines. He retired from the FAA in 1975 and became a residential real estate broker. J.P. was preceded in death by his parents, 5 sisters, one brother, and one daughter. Survivors include his wife, Elsie; sons, Kevin Johnston of NY, Craig Johnston of Norman; stepchildren, Jill McGarvey, Dale Kiriluk, Sue Holder, all of OKC, and Lisa Benney of AR; grandchildren, Justin Johnston and Kenneth McGarvey; and great-grandchild, Cooper Johnston. Viewing will be Wednesday, 9am-9pm at Mercer-Adams.
