"Happy Jack"
John Edward Howard, known to most as "Jack," was born on January 9, 1954 in El Reno, Oklahoma to Lloyd Thomas Howard and Clovis Jean (Sitton) Howard. He departed this life on April 15, 2022 in Oklahoma City at the age of 68.
Jack lived most of his life in the Oklahoma City area. He was a talented carpenter, excellent in concrete and glass work. His fingerprints are on many notable buildings in the Oklahoma City area including Leadership Square, Will Rogers World Airport, the Valliance Building and Quail Springs Mall, to name a few.
Jack married the love of his life, DAndra Joan Turner on February 8, 1982 and they celebrated 40 years of marriage together. He was a kindhearted and friendly person who could make a friend anywhere he went. He loved talking to people and making them smile. Due to a life-altering injury on the job, Jack became a stay-at-home dad who cared for his family and devoted time to playing with his children and teaching them how to work hard. He loved watching John Wayne movies with his family, listening to music and telling his wild tales, no matter how many times he had told them to you before.
Jack is survived by his wife, DAndra; daughter, Stacey Foster and husband Chad of Seminole; son, Zachary Howard of Oklahoma City; and son, Wesley Howard and wife Lacey of Oklahoma City; grandchildren, Adrienne Foster and Benjamin Foster of Seminole, Shaylene Howard of Oklahoma City and a new grandson due to be born this coming July, Blaine William Howard of Oklahoma City; brothers, Tom Howard and wife Janon of Oklahoma City, Darrell Howard and wife Kathy of Oklahoma City; sister, Carol Crismon of Tulsa; along with a niece, nephews and friends.
Jack was preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd Howard and Clovis Howard; his twin brother, William Alfred Howard; and his infant daughter, Shawnna Howard.
Memorial Services are scheduled for 11:00am on Thursday, April 21 at the First Presbyterian Church of Oklahoma City, officiated by Pastor John McKinnon. His final resting place is in Memorial Park Cemetery.
