John Steven Domek passed away on June 30, 2026, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, surrounded by his family. He was born July 2, 1963, to John A. and Rosemary (Bibbings) Domek in Chicago, Illinois.

John worked a variety of jobs throughout his life, including owning a landscaping and tree spraying service business. He will be remembered for his warm and friendly spirit. He never met a stranger—he had a remarkable way of striking up a conversation and quickly making a friend, whether it was a lifelong acquaintance or one of the neighborhood children. He enjoyed spending time fishing, visiting the casino, and watching comedies and sitcoms. His laughter was infectious, and whenever he laughed, everyone around him couldn't help but laugh along. He loved spending time with his daughter and playing and joking with his grandchildren. His smile and laughter will be greatly missed.

John was preceded in death by his father, John A. Domek. He is survived by his daughter, Jennifer Lynn Griffin; eight grandchildren; sister, Malyn (Dan) Skinnell; mother, Rosemary Domek; nephew, Joshua Skinnell; and niece, Ashley (Jerry) Stegall.

A funeral mass will be held at 11:00am on Thursday, July 9, 2026, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Oklahoma City. A private interment will be held in Resurrection Memorial Cemetery.
