Joe Marland Willmon, age 86, passed from this life on April 21, 2021 in Edmond, OK. Joe was born in Antlers, OK to Frank and Angie Willmon on November 8, 1934. He graduated from Northeast High School, Oklahoma City, OK in 1954. Joe served in the Army Reserves, a proud veteran with 35 years of service, and retired with rank of Sgt. Major. He was employed with Wilsons Foods for over 40 years. During his time with Wilsons, Joe played on the Wilsons Food competitive softball team. He also loved bowling and bowled in national tournaments and traveling leagues for more than 25 years. Upon retirement, Joe worked at the Route 66 Bowling Alley, in Bethany, OK for 15 years. Joe also loved country music and dancing. On any given weekend, Joe was dressed in cowboy hat and boots and on the dance floor. Joe will be remembered for his kind and generous heart and for love of family and dear friends. Joe is survived by son, Joey Dwayne Willmon; son, Daniel Shane Willmon and wife Kim; seven grandchildren; many nieces and nephews, cousins and loved ones. Joe was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Angie Willmon; brother; Junior Willmon and wife June; sister, Syble Robertson and husband Kenneth. Public viewing will be held on Wednesday, May 5, 2021 from 9:00am to 5:00pm at Mercer-Adams Funeral Home, 3925 N. Asbury Ave., Bethany, OK. Viewing for family only will be held from 5:00pm 8:00pm. Celebration of Life Service will be held on Thursday, May 6th, 2021, 11:00am at Mercer-Adams Chapel with interment in Memorial Park, Edmond, OK. .
