Obituary

Jo Beverly Fain was born to Nita and Carson Snow on March 27, 1947, in Abilene, TX. The daughter of a pastor and Air Force serviceman, Jo Beverly lived in many places throughout her childhood, including Guam, Bethany, Oklahoma, Hayesville, Kansas, Mineral Wells, Kansas, Cisco, Texas, Pampa, Texas, San Antonio, Texas, and Molalla, Oregon. She graduated from Pampa High School in 1965 and attended Bethany Nazarene College, where she met her husband, Raymond Fain. They married on June 8,1968 and began their life together in Molalla, Oregon shortly after. Jo Beverly spent 8 years in Oregon where she and Ray welcomed their son, Neal, and 7 years later, their daughter, Sara. They returned to Bethany, Oklahoma in 1976, where Jo Beverly remained with her family for more than 30 years.

A gifted hostess with a warm and generous spirit, Jo Beverly spent many years serving as secretary to the music minister at Bethany First Church of the Nazarene. She loved music, sang in the church choir, and welcomed countless friends and guests into her home. Her joy for creating beauty was especially evident at Christmastime, when she hosted Christmas parties for friends and family and her home was featured in local holiday home tours.

When Jo Beverly's husband, Ray, was diagnosed with Alzheimers, they moved to Waco, TX to be nearer to their daughter, Sara and family. When Ray passed away in 2014, Jo Beverly remained in Waco. During this time, she reconnected with a friend from high school, Randy Scott. Their renewed friendship blossomed into companionship, and they married in 2015. Randy remained a cherished part of her life until his passing in 2023.

While living in Waco, TX, she continued to find community and connection, attending First Baptist Church of Woodway and enjoying time with her daughter and granddaughters. While she missed living near her son and grandsons and countless friends in Bethany, OK, she was a valued member of her community and family in Texas.

On the morning of January 17, 2026, Jo Beverly woke up in the arms of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ—completely whole and pain free. She will be missed terribly by her family and friends, but there is joy knowing that she is in the presence of Jesus! We find comfort in the anticipation of seeing Jo Beverly again in heaven.

Jo Beverly was preceded in death by her mother and father, Nita and Carson. She was also preceded in death by her first husband, Raymond Fain, in 2014; her second husband, Randall "Randy" Scott, in 2023; and her brother, Carson "Corky" Snow in 1976.

She is survived by her son, R. Neal Fain and his wife, Edilia Ballesteros Gomez (Fain), of Yukon, Oklahoma; her daughter, Sara Jones and her husband, Sammy Jones, Jr. of Woodway, Texas; her five grandchildren whom she adored and cherished spending time with, Carson and Caedan Fain and Anna, Katy, and Lacie Jones; and her big brother, Johnny Snow and his wife, Carol Snow, of Holly Lake Ranch, TX.
