Obituary

Jimmy Walter Hill went home to be with our Lord on Friday, June 25, 2010 at the age of 82. He was born on May 12, 1928 in Devol, Oklahoma and was the son of Walter and Myrtle Hill. He married Betty Jo Biswell on June 2, 1956. They were happily married for 54 years and raised their two children Tamye and Neil. Jim was a World War II veteran serving in the US Navy as a member of the original crew of the USS Valley Forge. After being honorably discharged from the Navy, he graduated from Oklahoma City University with a degree in refrigeration in 1955. While in college he worked at Tinker Air Force Base parking airplanes at night. He worked for over 40 years in Air Conditioning and Heating as owner of Jim Hill Heating and Cooling. In the 1970s and 80s he was an instructor at Foster Estes Vo-Tech and then OSU Tech teaching heating and air conditioning. In retirement Jim loved gardening and was an avid fisherman. He was a member at Northwest Baptist Church for the last 28 years. He enjoyed his mornings with the Coffee Club at Shepherd Mall and his afternoons reading westerns. He was also a supporter of the Republican Party. His family will cherish their memories of him, but know he is now in heaven with his Lord, family and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, and two sisters; Cleo and Mildred. He is survived by his wife Betty; his daughter and son-in-law Tamye and John Lynch; and his son Neil. He is also survived by his younger sister Margaret and her husband Ray Mozingo as well as many family members and life-long friends. Services will be held 2:00 pm, Tuesday, June 29, 2010, at Northwest Baptist Church.
