Jimmy Ray Armstrong, 72, died October 24, 2013. He was born May 27, 1941 in Caney, Oklahoma to Arthur and Margaret Armstrong. He was a 1976 graduate of Bethany Nazarene College. A Nazarene Minister, he pastored churches in Camden, AR, Wister, OK, Harrah, OK, Salisaw, OK, Robeline, LA, and Mena, AR, and served as a Missionary in Suriname for 6 years. He also worked as a barber in Bethany for 10 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Patsy Ann, brothers, Robert, Alvin, Leonard and Lester Armstrong, and sister, Virginia Workman. Survivors include his son, Don Armstrong, of Yukon, OK; daughter, Traci Bradley and husband Brian of Broken Bow, OK; sister, Geneva Evans; brother, Harold Armstrong; and 3 grandchildren, Austin, Maci and Braelyn. Viewing will be Sunday, 11am-9pm, with the family present from 2-4pm at Mercer-Adams. Services will be 2:00pm, Monday, October 28, 2013 at Calvary Church of the Nazarene with interment in Moore Cemetery.
