Obituary

It is with both sorrow for our loss and joy for Heaven's gain that we announce the passing of Jimmie Charles Muller. On April 21, 2025, at the age of 92, Jimmie departed this life in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, to enter his eternal home with his Heavenly Father.

Born on December 6, 1932, in Bristow, Oklahoma, Jimmie lived a life filled with purpose, adventure, and deep love for family and community. As a boy, he learned to play the trumpet, nurturing a lifelong passion for music. He proudly performed with the Bristow Pirates school band, earning numerous accolades for his talent. His musical journey continued into adulthood as a member of the Gentlemen of Dixie Band, as well as playing for various civic organizations, church gatherings, and accompanying family Christmas carols. A devoted supporter of the arts, he frequently attended local theater and musical performances.

After graduating from Bristow High School in 1950, Jimmie went on to attend Oklahoma A&M (now OSU), earning a degree in interior design. He later served his country with honor in the United States Air Force as a First Lieutenant.

Following his military service, Jimmie began his professional career with Knight Furniture in Oklahoma City. He and his wife, Sue, eventually purchased the business, offering the community exceptional furniture and interior design services for over 30 years.

A proud Oklahoma State University alumnus, Jimmie remained "Loyal and True" to his alma mater, faithfully cheering on OSU football and basketball. He was an active member of the Oklahoma City Westside Lions Club, serving as President and in various leadership roles.

An avid traveler and lifelong learner, Jimmie delighted in exploring the United States by car, train, or motorhome, always seeking new experiences and places of interest.

Above all, Jimmie was a man of faith. He worshiped faithfully at several Oklahoma City churches, including St. John's United Methodist Church. He was a devoted husband, loving father, proud grandfather and great-grandfather. His kind heart, generous spirit, and unwavering faith left a lasting legacy in the lives of all who knew him.

He is survived by his daughter, Susan Kollmorgen (husband Terry); daughter-in-law, Gina Lord Muller; seven grandchildren; Lauren Floyd (husband Eric), Chelsea Vernon (husband Justin), Taylor McGregor (husband Aaron), Sawyer Kollmorgen (wife Miranda), Kyli Muller, Rachel Hiles (husband Kevin), and Sydney Palmer (husband Matt). He also leaves behind eleven great-grandchildren; Elliot, Collins, Myles, Mac, Tatum (McGregor), Tatum (Hiles), Dutton, Stetson, Hollis, Stevie Jeanne, and Hewitt.

Jimmie was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Sandra Sue Muller; his children, Brad Muller and Stephanie Muller; his parents, Charles and Thelma; and his brothers, Wayne and Harold.

His life was richly lived, and we take comfort in the promise of reunion in Heaven.

"You make known to me the path of life; in your presence there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore." — Psalm 16:11
