Jessie Leroy Royal, 65, died June 1, 2009. He was born June 25, 1943 in Ardmore, Oklahoma to Oliver and Mildred (Smith) Royal. He was employed at AT&T as a systems technician. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister Jean Royal; and foster parents Woodrow and Alice Anderson. He is survived by his wife, Barbara; son Chris and his wife La Tasha of Bethany; son Darrell and his wife Heather of Colorado; and two grandchildren. Visitation will be Wednesday, June 3, 9am-9pm. Services will be Thursday, June 4, 10:30am at Mercer-Adams Chapel, 3925 N. Asbury, with graveside services at 3:00pm at Newport Cemetery near Lone Grove in Carter County.
