Jerry Lee Barnes, 70, passed away May 3, 2016. He was born November 20, 1945 in Oklahoma City to Algon and Johnnie (Lewis) Barnes. He was a proud veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps. He spent over 48 years working at Aquamart Water Conditioning, 25 years as an employee and 23 years as the owner. Over the years, Jerry greatly enjoyed fishing and camping with relaxing excursions to the casino on Saturday nights. He also loved family time, as evident with the multitude of family cookouts, which included badminton matches and exciting rounds of croquet. One could always find Jerry working on some kind of project during the week or weekends, as he always had to being doing "something." Jerry was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Mary Barnes; sisters, Maxine Ferguson and Wanda Stafford; and brother, Butch Barnes. Survivors include his daughter, Apryl Pogue and husband Lance of Bethany, OK; daughter, Tana Barnes of Edmond, OK; daughter, Traci Green and husband Thomas of Lawton, OK; son, Freddie Leonardi and wife Jackie of Houston, TX; daughter, Angela Dunn and husband Travis of OKC, OK; brother, Forrest "Frosty" Barnes of OKC, OK; 20 grandchildren: Victoria, Ericka, Isaiah, Hannah, Monica, Noah, Jeremiah, Corey, Travis, Sheridan, Selena, Tiffany, Michael, Meagan, Chad, Chandler, Sabrina, Savannah, Sandra, and Beau; and14 great-grandchildren. Jerry was a great Dad and loving husband. To those who sought it, he offered his unbiased guidance and wisdom. He will be terribly missed and never forgotten. Visitation will be May 6, 2016 from 9am-9pm at Mercer-Adams Funeral Service. Services will be Saturday, May 7, 11:00 AM at Mercer-Adams Chapel, Bethany, OK.
