Jeffrey Marvin Nevel died February 15, 2018, after a brief illness. He was born March 10, 1962, in Stoughton, Wisconsin, and grew up in Choctaw, Oklahoma. He was a licensed minister and was active in the Boy Scouts of America, the Walk to Emmaus, and Kairos International Prison Ministry. He loved geocaching, classic rock, books, and a good healthy debate. He is survived by his wife Donna, son Seth, father Marvin Nevel, sister Cynthia Griffin, nephews Marcus and Matthew Nevel, niece Melody Claridge and husband Christopher, stepfather Raymond Ballard, and three stepsisters and their families. He was preceded in death by his mother, Ann Ballard. Viewing will be on Monday, Feb. 19, 2018, 9am to 9pm with family present from 6pm to 8pm at Mercer-Adams Funeral Home, 3925 N. Asbury. Services will be Tuesday, February 20, 2pm at Western Oaks Christian Church, 8100 NW 23rd, followed by interment at Arlington Cemetery in Midwest City. In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to Kairos Prison Ministry of Oklahoma, PO Box 54383, Oklahoma City, OK 73154-1383.
