Obituary

Jeffrey Allen Langfield, 58, passed away December 7, 2021 in Oklahoma City. He was born April 23, 1963 in Hammond, Indiana to Garry Joseph Langfield and Virginia Martha (Gyure) Langfield. Jeff moved to Oklahoma City from Highland, Indiana at the age of 9, and after graduating from Putnam City High School attended Oklahoma State University. After college, he met and married Tina Jo Langfield the summer of 1991. They celebrated their 30th Anniversary this year. In 2002, they welcomed daughter, Alyssa, into their family. Jeff was known by many different titles during his life, loving son, brother, uncle, brother-in-law, husband, and friend, but the title he loved the most was father. Jeff spent as much of his free time as he could with his precious daughter, Alyssa. He was beyond proud of her from the moment of her birth to her accomplishments in the classroom and on the field. When not at a softball game or spending time with his family, Jeff had a profound love of OSU football. He spent many weekends tailgating and enjoying games in Stillwater with dear friends and when he couldnt be there in person, he was on the phone in front of his tv for games while discussing the play by play with his father, Garry. On Sundays, his attention turned to the Chicago Bears. Survivors include his wife, Tina; daughter, Alyssa; mother, Ginny and father, Garry; sister, Deneen Rudorfer and brother-in-law, James Rudorfer; sister, Barb Hope-Rea and brother-in-law, Mike Rea; nieces and nephews, Matt Rudorfer, Maggie Rudorfer, Molly Rudorfer, Mason Hope, Garrett Hope, Carter Hope, and Jett Hope; aunt and uncle, Karen and Dave Langfield; as well as numerous cousins. A celebration service of Jeffs life will be held Saturday, December 11, 2021 at 10 a.m. at Mercer-Adams in Bethany. Per Jeffs wishes, there will not be a public viewing prior to the celebration. Family and friends are asked to incorporate orange into their attire to celebrate Jeffs love of OSU football. .
