Jeff left this world for an easier path on May 25, 2018. He was born at Fort Lewis, Washington in an army hospital to Dean and Jeanne (Camp) Asher, September 1, 1955. Jeff attended OKC public schools graduating from Northwest Classen in 1974. After a brief stint in the Marines, he went to work in the printing department at the Oklahoma State Department of Education for the next 25 years. One of Jeff's fondest memories was spending summers at his grandparent's farm in Great Bend, KS. These memories nurtured a fondness for the outdoors that he carried with him for the rest of his life. He loved to hunt, fish and camp and spent endless hours on his friend's farmland. Jeff's family was very important to him and he cherished being an uncle to his three nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Dean Asher. He is survived by his mother, Jeanne Asher; sister, Amy Doughty and her husband Jamie; sister, Sharyl Thompson and her husband Bart; nephews, Andrew Doughty, Brett Thompson and his wife Cassie, Zak Thompson and his wife Alli and their children Colton and Teagan.Viewing will be Tuesday May 29, 2018 from 9am-9-pm, with the family present from 6-8pm at Mercer-Adams. Services will be Thursday, May 31, 2018, 10:00am at Mercer-Adams Chapel in Bethany. The family requests, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Corner Stone United Methodist Church Day Care Center or the charity of your choice.
