Jeanette "Jan" Carolyn (Wilson) Cantrell was born September 27, 1939 in Lamesa, TX and died on January 26 at the age of 78. She was the daughter of Rena Mae and Rev. Doyle Wilson. Jan was an active member of Western Oaks Nazarene Church, member of the Association of Retired Ministers and Missionaries and ministers wife for 35 years. She was in public education for 20 years. List of honors include; received Trinity University prize for excellence in teaching in 1987, selected by Harlandale ISD of San Antonio to receive training at Shriners Hospital in Dallas for teaching dyslexic children and was named outstanding teacher of Schultz Elementary, Harlandale ISD in 1989. She is survived by her husband of 55 plus years, Wally Cantrell; 4 children, Jana Hausburg of Wichita Falls, TX, Cheryl Delany and Isaac, Bayfield, CO, Sharla Ellmore and Alan, OKC, Michael Cantrell and Mary, San Antonio, TX; 7 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren. Memorial service will be 10:30am Thursday, February 1 at Mercer-Adams Chapel. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital, Memphis, TN or the Salvation Army.
