Obituary

Javier Ocampo was born August 27, 1962 in Oaxaca, Mexico. He was employed by WW Steel in Oklahoma City as a painter and welder. He was a hard worker, always making it a priority to be a good provider for his family. Javier was known for having a positive attitude and always had a smile on his face, even in the midst of adversity. He treasured his family and loved spending time with them. He will be greatly missed.

Reyna Pallares Reyes was born January 6, 1959 in Mexico City, Mexico. She worked as a bilingual assistant in the Oklahoma City School system, and touched the lives of many children and their families. Reyna enjoyed decorating her home and making her loved ones feel welcome. She appreciated the beauty of the things in life and was grateful for what she had. Her children were of utmost importance to her and she loved them well.

Javier and Reyna were the parents of three wonderful sons: Oscar Pallares, Jessie Ocampo and Emmanuel Pallares. Family and friends would describe Javier and Reyna as parents who were loving, thoughtful, protective and nurturing.

Javier and Reyna passed away together on June 14, 2024. Javier was 61 years of age and Reyna was 65. They were preceded in death by Reyna's parents and Javier's father, Moises Ocampo. They are survived by their three sons, Oscar, Jessie and Emmanuel, as well as Javier's mother, Amparo Ojeda.

Visitation at Mercer-Adams will be 10am-10pm on Friday. Funeral services will be Friday, June 21 at St. Joseph's Old Cathedral. Burial in Resurrection Cemetery will be held on Saturday, June 22 at 11:30am.
