On Saturday, August 5th, Javier Ramon Flores Sr. went home to be with the Lord, following a sudden cardiac arrest while at work. He was born August 31, 1961 in La Pinta Gomez Ferias, Chihuahua, Mexico, and died August 5, 2017 in Oklahoma City, OK. Javier Flores Sr. was a loving father, husband and a dear friend to many. He was a man full of joy, full of compassion, and an inspiration to all who knew him, as well as one of the worst joke tellers you could ever know. Javier was a hard-working man, having built a successful business after emigrating from Mexico with his family in his 20s. He made the most of every day, enjoying family outings to the lake, ski trips, working on motorcycles and classic cars, traveling the world with his wife, and spending time with their children and two grandsons. He was preceded in death by his parents, Octavio and Guadalupe Flores, who both passed in 2016, and by two brothers, Hector Flores Garcia in 2014 and Heriberto Flores Garcia in 2016. He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Margarita, by four children, Javier Alejandro Flores Jr., of Chicago, Edgar Fernando Flores of Ciudad Juarez, Mexico, Evelyn Martinez and her husband Michael Wayne Martinez of Yukon, OK, and Eduardo Flores of Yukon, OK, plus two grandsons, Courtland Michael Martinez and Cameron Gabriel Martinez. Funeral services were held Monday, August 7th at St. Eugene Catholic Church, of which Javier was a founding member.
